AMTech: New exhibition on a good path
29.06.2021
New exhibition format for future-oriented production in China / First confirmations by important market leaders
The Chinese market has become even more important for machinery and plant manufacturing companies during the corona pandemic. The companies operating in China expect their turnover to rise by 17 per cent in 2021. "The German engineering industry, digital and intelligent production, and 'green manufacturing' have long left behind any pandemic-related 'downturns' in their order books. They are again looking to the future with great optimism. China was and remains a sought-after partner country for the entire spectrum of high-tech industries covered by the new exhibition AMTech. With its many years of experience on international markets, Messe Stuttgart is pleased to support the positioning of AMTech as a leading exhibition in its segment," said Roland Bleinroth, President of Messe Stuttgart.
New exhibition for digital and intelligent production
Messe Stuttgart will stage AMTech, the International Advanced Manufacturing Technology Exhibition, in Shenzhen (China) from 11 to 14 October 2021 in cooperation with its Chinese subsidiary. The event is also being supported by 21 industrial associations from the Chinese "Silicon Valley", i.e. the Greater Bay Area, one of the most modern innovation and technology centres in China in the middle of the metropolitan region. The exhibition will be accompanied by AMC2021, the World Advanced Manufacturing Conference.
AMTech will cover the entire industrial production chain and will present solutions for metal working and tool and mould making. Exhibitors will present solutions for future-oriented production with the emphasis on digital and intelligent production along with green manufacturing. The other focal points will be the industrial "Internet of things" and intelligent indoor logistics and warehousing. "The objectives and industries covered by AMTech ideally correspond to our expertise in Germany, Europe and the rest of the world," said Roland Bleinroth. "AMTech is also ideally positioned in one of the most advanced and fastest growing industrial centres in China. The industrial alliance behind AMTech is very impressive and will guarantee great success. The new Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Centre will naturally be the ideal setting for this new platform which will assume its fixed place in the global exhibition calendar right from the start."
Official joint German stand at AMTech
At the initiative of the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW), AMTech has been included in the foreign trade fair and exhibition programme of the German Federal Ministry of Economics. The Ministry is supporting the new exhibition format with a joint German stand. "We are delighted that an exhibition for advanced technology is also being held in southern China. The region is home to a large number of high-tech companies. The general forecast is for vibrant demand for future technologies in the region with good sales opportunities for German solutions," said Dr. Wilfried Schäfer, Managing Director of the VDW.
There is great interest in AMTech within the industry: a large number of exhibitors have already booked their stand at the new Exhibition Centre in Shenzhen. They include both world market leaders and small and medium-sized enterprises. Here are some of the exhibitors: TRUMPF, Siemens, Priminer Werkzeugmaschinen, ISCAR, TDM Systems, GF Machining Solutions, FANUC, Yamazaki MAZAK, HEIDENHAIN, Sandvik Coromant, Bystronic and HURCO. Other exhibitors will follow in the coming weeks.
