Conrad Electronic and TDK-Lambda Germany agreed to further strengthen their successful long-term strategic partnership with TDK-Lambda‘s latest marketing campaign centred around DC-DC converters. The move aims to boost TDK-Lambda’s e-commerce offering and, at the same time, expand the current DC-DC converter range sold via the Conrad Sourcing Platform.
“We are very happy about the strategic collaboration agreement with world-leading manufacturer TDK-Lambda Germany,” explains Kilian Braun, product manager at Conrad Electronic. “This takes the already close and successful business relationship between our companies to the next level, and underlines our expertise and excellent performance in the e-commerce sector. As a result, product designers and purchasing managers will be able to choose from a larger selection of TDK-Lambda DC-DC converters in the short, middle and long term, and be able to find an optimal solution for their specific requirements.”
“Over the past 50 years, we have been very successful globally, with our company becoming one of the leading manufacturers of industrial automation technology and medical equipment,” says Thorsten Osteroth, Distribution Manager at TDK-Lambda Germany. “We now want to significantly strengthen our presence and positioning within the DC-DC converter market. From talking to a large number of customers, we learnt that design engineers like to use e-commerce suppliers during early product development stages. This makes it really important to ensure quick and easy availability of the latest product versions. This is why we are strengthening our strategic e-commerce partnership and are specifically expanding our range of DC-DC converters.”
The extended line of DC-DC converters now includes the CCG series with a 4:1 input range and a high efficiency rate. The metal housing provides full component shielding, making this series ideal for use in data transfer, telecommunication, radio broadcasting and in battery-powered devices. There are two input voltage ranges, namely 9 to 36 VDC and 28 to 76 VDC. Available output voltage ratings are 3.3, 5, 12, +/-12, +/-15, 24 and 30 VDC at currents of up to 4A, with output levels being adjustable by +/- 20 percent.
The i3A and i6A DC-DC converters are now also available via Conrad. They are used to generate voltages with high nominal currents in standard 12, 24, 36 and 48 V power supply units. Due to a 98 percent efficiency rate and low thermal loss, they are prevalent in medical engineering, telecommunication, across most industry sectors as well as in testing and diagnostics equipment. Moreover, the I-V efficiency curves of the products have been optimised for dynamic current changes, which means that i3A and i6A DC-DC converters make the use of external capacitors redundant.
