10th International Scientific Conference on the Development of Industrial Engineering

Faculty of Industrial Engineering Novo mesto, together with its co-organizers, kindly invites you to the 10th International Scientific Conference on the Development of Industrial Engineering: Opportunities, Potentials, and Challenges for the Green Transition and Artificial Intelligence, which will take place on May 14, 2026, at Hotel Šport in Otočec. The conference is intended for scientists and researchers from universities, higher education institutions, and research institutes in Slovenia and abroad, as well as for professionals from industry and the wider professional community.

The central theme of the conference is to address sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on the green transition and on the opportunities, potentials, and challenges associated with the application of artificial intelligence. Through the application of AI, industrial engineering gains a powerful lever for achieving green transition goals while supporting a competitive economy. Within this overarching framework, the conference also integrates other key topics essential to the advancement of industrial engineering, thereby offering a comprehensive platform for exploring emerging trends in the fields of energy, sustainability and the green transition, artificial intelligence and digital technologies, advanced engineering numerical modeling and numerical simulations, as well as Industry 4.0 and smart factories.

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Industrial Engineering Novo mesto in cooperation with University North, the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto, the Faculty of Organisation Studies in Novo mesto, the Landscape Governance College Grm Novo mesto, and the public research institute Rudolfovo – Science and Technology Centre Novo mesto. The guiding principle of the conference is the transfer of knowledge among leading experts and stakeholders in the field of industrial engineering, as well as the promotion of collaboration between industry and research and educational institutions.
