We bring you impressions from the Drinktec 2022 fair

International, innovative and of the highest quality — that’s the best way to describe the Drinktec trade fair, which was held from September 12 to 16, 2022, at the Munich Trade Fair Center.

A total of 1,002 exhibitors from 55 countries and almost 50,000 visitors from 169 countries came to the world’s leading fair for the beverage and liquid food industry. With 65 percent of exhibitors and more than 70 percent of visitors coming from countries outside of Germany, Drinktec has strengthened its status as the world’s leading trade fair.

At SIPA’s stand, a system for the production of 20ml PET bottles for alcoholic beverages in one step, starting from granulates through the production of preforms and bottles on one machine, model ECS SP 80, was shown. A rotary blower, model XTRA 14, was shown for the production of 180ml bottles from recycled PET. , with a capacity of 2800 bottles per hour per nest. At the fair, SIPA also promoted a novelty when it comes to PET wine bottles, Sparkle. Visitors could enjoy the complete visual presentation of the stand, which was equipped with high-quality multimedia content.

The leading company in the production of plastic processing machines and production of automation systems, ENGEL from Austria, presented at the Drinktec trade fair a solution for the production of plastic caps weighing 1.3g obtained by injection molding technology. The shortest cycle time < 2 seconds was achieved on the e-cap 2440/380 machine, using a 96-cavity tool. The e-cap machine has an electric drive with water cooling, a closing force of 380 tons and an acceleration unit optimized for HDPE. Compared to conventional systems for the production of caps, the exhibited model represents a highly energy-efficient solution that achieves up to 50% savings in energy costs.

The focus of PIOVAN company was on technologies and solutions for recycled plastics. Among other things, Condenso was shown, and Vulcano and SoftBoost were premiered.

Visitors to the fair had the opportunity to bring PET, rPET, granulates, preforms and bottles and test them for acetaldehyde and benzene at the stand, using Insepcta instruments for material analysis.
