Kreyenborg offers drying and crystallization trials for thermoplastics online
“Not being there, but attending live” - this is the slogan of the new offer proposed by Kreyenborg GmbH & Co. KG from Senden in Westphalia, Germany. As of now, the family enterprise, a specialist for Infrared Rotary Drums, carries out trials for drying and / or crystallization of any kind of thermoplastics, such as PET, PLA, PA, EVOH or PP and cellulose. These trials are run with specific, customized materials, while the customer takes part in the presentation live via video chat (Teams, Zoom or Skype live, ...)
“Pre-trials in our in our test facility are an essential requirement for many of our customers! This is the best scrutiny of the performance of our equipment before any investment is made, while we can prove this,” sales manager Marcus Vogt tells of his own experience. But as travel restrictions make it sometimes impossible to take part in trials personally in Kreyenborg’s technical development centre, the company now offers to its customers this special service of online trial events. The customer just has to send at least 25 kg of sample material and determine the trial program in detail with the competent contact person at Kreyenborg. “This is an opportunity for any interested prospective customer to get convinced of the suitability of the infrared technology performing the quick, direct and efficient material heat-up for his particular application,” says Marcus Vogt and invites to simply get in touch with the company.
For the trials, Kreyenborg’s test facility is equipped with an IR-Batch for small tests and with the continuously working Infrared Rotary Drum IRD B 180/270-135 that handles a maximum throughput of up to 700 kg/h. The test facility’s equipment further comprises various mixing and dosing units, extruder feed systems such as funnels and hoppers, as well as analysis instruments to determine the material properties of the customer’s specific material processed, which can all be included in the trial series upon request. Every trial made for a customer is concluded with a detailed trial report and a product sample that is sent to the customer’s company in a vacuum-sealed package so that he can make his own, in-depth investigations.
