On six thematically arranged half-days, visitors will be able to find out, in concentrated form, all about the pioneering trends in tool construction and mould making. The forum is being organised by the magazines "mav" and "Automationspraxis".
The future forum of the publisher Moderne Industrie (Hall 6, D53) will deal with the main themes in the tool and moulding making industry. Renowned speakers will be guests, including Professor Thomas Seul, President of the VDWF (German machine tool builders' association), who will highlight the future prospects of German tool construction as a worldwide respected brand. Other topics of this future-oriented forum will be personnel acquisition and training/further training.
At the exhibitors' evening at Moulding Expo, a jury of experts will commend pioneers and visionaries for outstanding lifetime performances in tool, pattern and mould making. The Moulding Expo Forum (Hall 4, Stand D81) will offer a broad mix of specialised themes. The programme of presentations by the publisher Carl Hanser Verlag revolves around process engineering in njection moulding and mould making for plastics processing. In addition, experts will provide information on the latest developments in the area of stamping technology, as well as legal aspects relevant to the sector. The Landesagentur für Leichtbau Baden-Württemberg (State Agency for Lightweight Construction) invites you to come to Hall 4, Stand D81 on 6 May to exchange ideas and opinions, for example n business models for additive manufacturing in lightweight construction. This topic is also a subject of an interactive technology session on 5 May at the 2nd Hybrid Lightweight Construction Technology Day. Special exhibitions: Detailed insights into all core and peripheral areas
The Forum of the Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik (Federal Association for Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics) will take place concurrently at the Dormero Hotel Stuttgart. In whole-day workshops for purchasers, the current challenges in the procurement of stamping, bending and forming tools, as well as plastic and plastic injection moulding components, will be discussed. The workshops will be followed by trade fair walking tours, led by the VDMA (German engineering federation) and the VDWF (German machine tool builders' association).
Beside the forums, the visitors can also attend special exhibitions. The future-oriented themes of additive manufacturing and 3D printing will be presented by around 30 well-known companies at the Rapid.Area (Hall 4, Stand D35), organised by Messe Erfurt. They will show the entire process chain of generative manufacture – from design to the finished product. The Rapid.Area will highlight the possible synergies between the traditional tool, pattern and mould makers and the innovative providers of 3D printing.
Innonet is an important plastics network from the northern Black Forest. In Hall 6 (Stand 6D11), it will present itself with an exclusive special show on the plastics value creation chain. Here, trade fair visitors can learn about the individual work steps in the manufacture of a plastic gyroscope. Of course, the themes of training and further training, as well as the job market, must not be omitted at Moulding Expo. The prospects for trainees in tool, pattern and mould making will be presented in Hall 4 under the title MEX:bildung 4.0. Here, the focus will be on ideas and visions, as well as people and stories about companies and products. Visitors will be actively involved in the topic by means of interactive exhibits and demonstrations.
