At the employment fair JobFair, which was organized for the eleventh year in a row by the EESTEC LC Ljubljana student association was this year held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana. The event was very well attended by both, company representatives and students.

A team of engineers at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Alabama, has developed, tested and patented the process of welding with wire. NASA's experts are saying that this is a new process of formwork that allows cost-effective production of rocket motors nozzles. The process is called "Laser Wire Direct Closeout (LWDC)".

In this school year, the Laboratory for fluid technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana organized eight different seminars on the topics that are relevant to the participating companies, for the first time this was done in cooperation with Poclain Hydraulics from Žiri, Slovenia, within the educational project-application program and the framework of Hydraulics and Pneumatics class. On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, a professional excursion to the Žiri was organized by Poclain Hydraulics. In addition to a tour of the company, students presented the work done during the seminars. Company representatives evaluated the seminars and selected the best one.
