Benefits of using RLS magnetic rings

RLS incremental magnetic rings consist of a vulcanised elastoferrite layer securely attached to a steel hub. To assure safety and reliability at high speeds and temperature the rings can optionally be covered with a protective stainless steel foil. By use of protective foil the influence of ageing and possible chemical degradation of the ring are minimised.
Magnetic rings can be radially or axially magnetised and can be used with RLS standard family of LM incremental encoders or component level RoLin readheads. Their simple yet robust design meets the demand for reliable low cost operation.
